Balmerino.

Balmerino is a refined Toorak residence built around architectural clarity, with interiors designed to read uninterrupted. The instruction was unusual in its specificity. The technology had to be completely concealed, with no wall intrusions of any kind. The owners are a modern working household with a cinema, keyless entry and the need for a network that could carry a board meeting without a thought. Every system was to disappear into the architecture and reveal itself only on use.

Technology is completely concealed across the home, with speakers sitting in ceiling reveals and keypads kept flush and joinery-matched so no device interrupts the architecture. A dedicated home cinema with starlight ceiling sits behind a single line of joinery when closed, calibrated to reference standard for film and music. Enterprise-grade Wi-Fi covers the residence from the study to the garden, designed for daily remote work and uninterrupted streaming. CCTV and keyless entry are on the same Control4 backbone as lighting, audio and climate, reachable from the app from anywhere. The result is a residence where the architecture leads in every photograph and every lived moment. The system is there in everything you do, and visible in nothing you see.
