How we work

Seven stages, one studio.

Most of the work happens before anyone sees a keypad. The technology in a significant home is decided

How we work

01 / Engage early

The best homes are designed before the walls go up. We join at concept stage, at the architect's

table, and mark every keypad, screen, speaker, sensor and cable run onto the plans while they can

still move. Engaged at second fix instead, the system is working around decisions already made.

02 / At the studio

The second conversation happens in Dromana, in a house rather than a showroom. It holds as much

technology as most whole homes and none of it is visible. You sit with it for an hour: the lighting,

the shade, the music, the temperature, the cameras, all on the same interface you would live with.

Nobody pitches. We ask how the home is used โ€” how you travel, how you entertain, what the house

should do at six in the morning and at midnight โ€” and the design follows from the answers.

03 / Design and documentation

A paid design phase produces a complete set to tender standard: architectural mark-ups, equipment

rack elevations, cable schedules, and a scope the builder and the electrician can price without

guessing. It is the stage that makes everything after it predictable, and it is the reason the

quotes that come back are comparable.

04 / Rough-in

The documentation goes to site. Cabling is run to the drawings, on the builder's program, checked

against the schedule before the walls close. Nothing here is left to be solved later, because

after plaster the cost of a missing cable is measured in weeks.

05 / Pre-build and bench-test

The rack is built in our factory, not in your house. Every device is mounted, cabled, labelled,

programmed and run as a complete system on the bench. Faults are found in a workshop where they are

cheap, rather than on site where they are not.

06 / Fit-off and handover

A tested system makes for a short, clean fit-off. The rack arrives finished, the devices go in, the

house is commissioned, and the handover is done in person โ€” walking the home with the people who

live in it, scene by scene, until nothing needs explaining.

07 / Aftercare

The relationship runs past the handover key. Proactive monitoring, firmware managed before it

becomes a problem, and a named contact who already knows the house. Support is on the phone 24/7,

because a system that runs the lighting and the locks is not something to leave until Monday.

A floor we do not go below

Not every budget reaches these systems, and that is fine. What does not work is cutting the parts

that make the rest reliable. We will offer tiers and options, and where a budget sits below the

line we will say so rather than build something that disappoints on the day it is handed over.
